The .FLY domain is a new gTLD, designed to serve the globe-spanning aviation, travel and tourism industries. It allows companies that wouldn’t have been able to use the old domains serving those sectors to have a space of their own.

Everyone can register a .FLY domain, with no restrictions. Unlike .AERO, which is only for very specific companies, and .TRAVEL, which requires you to prove you are in the tourism industry, .FLY allows all interested parties to register a domain. 

On the technical side, accept terms for .FLY in your dashboard and check that everything is working in the OT&T environment. From the sales side: create content, work out which of your clients would be served by it, and contact them preemptively, before the names they want are gone. 

The .FLY domain is a new gTLD that serves two of biggest economic sectors on the planet – tourism and aviation – accounting for over 10% of global GDP. And up to 80% of the tourism industry is SMEs, which means plenty of demand for websites. 

Sunrise starts on September 1, 2026, with Early Access running for a week from November 10 – 16, 2026. General availability is then from November 17, 2026.
